It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Joseph Catholic School. The teachers and staff join me in saying we are committed to educating the whole child in an environment that reflects the values and traditions of the Catholic Church. We strive to foster each student's spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. In accordance with each student's gifts and abilities, we strive to provide the student with the skills needed to become the next generation of Catholic leaders.
Our school has a strong history of academic excellence integrated with the teachings of our Catholic faith. We look forward to having your child take part in the many educational opportunities that are offered at our school. Meet Our Principal
Mr. Donavan Yarnall is beginning his second year as Principal of Saint Joseph. Mr. Yarnall most recently was the Assistant Principal at Saint Joseph's Catholic Elementary School in Macon GA. He is the product of Catholic Schools attending Kindergarten though twelfth grade in the Lafayette Catholic School System in Lafayette IN. He holds a BS degree in Education with a concentration in All Grade Physical Education and Health Education from Manchester College. He completed his Masters degree and Specialists degree from Georgia College and State University in Educational Leadership and Supervision.
Mr. Yarnall has asserted that Catholic Schools Light the Way and that Christ be the center of our school and our lives. He is committed to leading SJS make a real difference in the formation of our students' minds, body and spirit.
Mr. Yarnall is an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Athens GA.
